MS KRUMAL'S CLASSROOM PROJECT - One Mountain (-) - Bottom Hanging Print - Lot 2
"It takes a village," and sometimes an entire mountain, roots and all. To raise a child, to create a community, & to change the world.
Mentored by artist-in-residence and accomplished Chilean fine printmaker and sculptor, Sebastian Boher, Ms. Krumal's 2nd grade, Room 16 class mused on what it means to grow up together in the mountain village they share. Process included in-class brainstorms on the concept of "community," multiple lessons on silkscreening technique, 100+hand-drawn children's illustrations, and a workhop with local producer Jeff Hughes at his studio Visual Contrast, which specializes in the production of fine art, artist collaborations, and exhibitions.

The final collaborative collage is a pair of Mt.Washington-inspired three-color silkscreen prints featuring key village ingredients meaningful to and created by each of the 27 student artists. Printed on French Rives BFK 100% cotton acid free archival paper. Framed by Frame Monster.

These two prints are designed as a vertical diptych, to be hung together, but can be purchased or hung separately, each piece telling its own unique story.

MS MEZA'S CLASSROOM ART PROJECT - "Hanging Ceramic Chimes"

Hanging Ceramic Chimes - Ms. Meza's TK class, room 7, had so much fun making bells and beads for this Hanging Ceramic Chime! They made and glazed each piece all on their own. It is strung together with a tan leather cord. It makes a beautiful chiming sound if gently used, but would also make a lovely wall hanging.

MS. BERNSTEIN'S CLASSROOM ART PROJECT - "Home"
Each student in Ms. Bernstein's Room 2 Kindergarten class created an individual print depicting an element of their environment in Mount Washington or Los Angeles at large.
